From 29th November to 3rd December 2021 our middle school “G. Mazzini” in Lanciano, Italy, hosted the 2nd international meeting for the Erasmus project “Colourful numbers”. The countries involved, in addition to Italy, were: Czech Republic, with the Gymnazium a Jazykova skola in Zlin, Poland, with the Primary school in Nowa Sarzyna, Romania, with the Scoala gimnaziala nr 1 in Otelu Rosu and Turkey, with Gulbaba Zeynep Yildirim in Kilis. They were represented by 22 students and 11 teachers.
The first day was dedicated to welcome our guests, to visit our school and the city and to get to know one another. All the students shared a Maths lab playing different memory games made by the different schools. On the second and third days there were 2 school trips to see our Adriatic coast and the mountains of our region. In the 2 following days teachers and students worked together at school and took part to other labs about Science and Maths.
Two special moments were the concert offered by our young orchestra and the final dinner offered by our school.
This experience has given the opportunity of cooperating between several partners, of analyzing aspects of other educational systems, of knowing other cultures and starting new interpersonal relationships.
